Bethlehem Baptist Church

Thank you for visiting the Website for the Bethlehem Baptist Church ministry.  We are located in the heart of the beautiful southwest Atlanta, Georgia community proudly known as Ben Hill! Bethlehem is the church home of a loving group of people who simply love the Lord and who seek to understand the teachings of Jesus Christ.

We welcome you to visit our church family whenever the spirit leads you.  We offer a wonderful, dynamic array of services and ministries to meet the spiritual needs of young people, growing families, and senior worshippers.

Our pastor, the Rev. Dr. Carl H. Moncrieff, Sr., is a visionary who continues to seek ways to design opportunities for all to grow in the full knowledge of the Lord and learn to apply the principles of God’s instructions in our lives.content. Have fun!

BBC COVID-19 RESPONSE

Bethlehem Baptist Church (BBC) remains focused on the safety of our members and the community. We are working continuously with our partners, local municipalities and health departments to provide you with updates and additional information.

We ask that our members and families continue to follow the COVID-19 guidelines as shared by the Center for Disease and Control Prevention (CDC) or visit their web site at www.cdc.gov.

In an effort to keep members and visitors safe from the Coronavirus, Bethlehem is moving its Sunday worship service to FACEBOOK live starting March 22nd at 10:30.

We have been praying for you and with you. This is a time of uncertainty and we know the rapidly changing COVID-19 information creates real concerns for maintaining optimal health and safety. In addition to your well-being, we’ve been praying for God’s guidance on how to best transition from being the church gathered to the church scattered. From these prayers, and through conversations with ministers, church leadership and staff from other Atlanta churches, we’ve made some difficult decisions.

Due to the recent recommendation from Mayor Bottoms to shelter in place, we have decided to temporarily suspend all in-person BBC activities. We will closely monitor the situation and determine when we can safely meet again.

Remember, we are still the church to each other and to the community, but what does that look like during a pandemic? Below are the changes to our ministry plan and the new opportunities created by them. We will remain nimble during this time and prioritize flexibility to make more changes as needed. This web page will remain the central hub for information related to the impact of COVID-19 on church ministries. We will continue to communicate via email on Wednesdays and Fridays and more if necessary. Please check your junk mail for emails from BBC and add us to your list of safe senders.

What will not change during this time is our commitment to sharing the love, peace and hope of Christ with you and with the community. Let us be intentional to call, text and email one another so that we may lessen anxiety and loneliness through stories of creativity, humor and joy. Perfect love casts out all fear. God, we rest even now in your perfect love.

Amen.
