Bethlehem Ministers are extensions of the pastor in meeting the needs of the Church. Whether ministering thru Sunday School, Bible Study, or during Sunday Worship, the unique gifts of each of these ministers shines so the GOD will always get the Glory.

Sylvia Washington

Minister Bio

Rev. Sylvia Washington finds comfort, joy, peace, and strength in these guiding words “The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want”…. Psalms23:1 A native of Monticello, Fla., Rev. Washington is a graduate of Florida A & M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Fla. where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She was married to Mr. Waheed Olatundun, and is the mother of three lovely daughters, Kemi, Ayoka, and Shirley. Rev. Washington has one son, Rodney Hannah, husband of Ayoka and is the proud grandmother of twins, Rodney II, and Reagan Hannah. “An Angel of Mercy” best describes Sylvia’s demeanor as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) for thirty years, compassionately serving and administering care in the professions of Nursing, Nursing Administration and Consulting . She is presently employed at Christian City in Union City, Ga. where she is Director of the Assisted Living Facility. Rev. Washington delivered her first official sermon at Bethlehem Baptist Church on April 25, 1999 and was ordained by Pastor Moncrieff on December 10, 2000; she currently serves as the interim Youth Minister. Rev. Washington has been very busy since her ordination, ministering at weddings, funerals, teaching bible classes, and PRAISING and PREACHING God’s Holy Word. “TO GOD BE THE GLORY” for using Rev. Washington as he does!

Carl Dorsey

Minister Bio

Rev. Carl Dorsey, the son of the late Gladys Alderman Dorsey and the Reverend Edward H. Dorsey, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA is a descendant of a line of preachers: he is the grandson of the late Reverend Joseph Thomas Dorsey, pastor of the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, Atlanta. GA and the great grandson of the late Reverend Henry Alderman, organizer and pastor of First Baptist Church, Teachey, North Carolina. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Rev. Dorsey grew up in Teachey with his maternal grandparents. When his father was called to pastor the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Atlanta, he moved to Atlanta where he attended the Atlanta Public School system and graduated from the David T. Howard High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp. and received extensive military training. He is married to Diadra Gresham Dorsey and together have six children. He serves as an Associate Minister at Bethlehem and has also served as Interim Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church (Atlanta, GA), Moderator of the Antioch Baptist Church (San Jose, California), Associate Minister Allen Temple Baptist Church (Oakland, California).

Frank Jones

Minister Bio

Rev. Frank Jones joined Bethlehem in 1982 and was soon ordained, in 1986, as a minister. He attended and received a Certificate in Biblical Teaching from Carver Bible College. Rev. Jones has served as an interim pastor and returned to Bethlehem in 1995 to continue in ministry at Bethlehem.

Otis Prewitt

Minister Bio

Rev. Otis J. Prewitt is an Associate Minister of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Prewitt has been an active member of Bethlehem for 36 years. He served as Chairman of the Trustee Board from 1976 to 1978. Rev. Prewitt organized and incorporated One Church, One Child of Georgia in 1988. Rev. Prewitt has a B.A. Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Religion.Rev. Prewitt served in Vietnam where he was wounded and received the a prestigious purple heart. He was later honorably retired as a disabled veteran. He was married to the late Shirley J. Burkes and is the proud father of four children and grandfather of seven grandchildren. Rev. Prewitt was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and now resides in Jonesboro, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. His favorite quote is: We have come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord.

 

Henry Moses

Minister Bio

Rev. Henry L. Moses is married to Sandra Moses.  Rev. Moses served as Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Chief Supervisor for Marta for 35 years, and attended Carver Bible College.  Rev. Moses also served as Pastor at God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church for three years. Rev. Moses serves as Associate Minister at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  His favorites scripture is II Timothy 2:15,  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Johnnie Tabor

Minister Bio

Rev. Johnnie Louise Tabor is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and accepted the “Call” to ministry in 1995. Already licensed to preach the gospel, she entered Bible College to further her understanding to the call of God. A graduate of Murphy High School with honors in 1980, Johnnie received an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Dekalb College with brief studies at Georgia State University. Johnnie is a graduate of Beulah Heights Bible College  and The Interdenominational Theological Center  in Atlanta, Georgia with a Master of Divinity and a Masters of Christian Education. She has been accepted into the Faith Journey Program for the academic year 2008-2009. For, the past nineteen years Reverend Tabor has been employed with Georgia Perimeter College in Logistical Services and the Plant Operations department. Reverend Tabor was a member of Greater Liberty Hill Baptist Church from her youth to adulthood and was licensed and ordained under the leadership of the late Reverend J. I. McCrary Sr. Johnnie recently joined Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of The Rev. Dr. Carl H. Moncrieff, Sr. Most of all Johnnie is a child of God and lover of all things Christ-like.

Willie Mae Climes

Minister Bio

Evangelist Willie Mae Climes hails from Florida. She has been a member of Bethlehem for three and a half years. She loves the Lord and believes in the power of prayer. A retired early childhood educator, Evangelist Climes loves children and serving others. She is active in the Sunday School Department; June Birth Month Ministry; Shining Star Seniors and the Mission in Action as well as working with the Pastor and Associate Ministers as designated. She initiated the quarterly minister’s fellowship; participates in the Bible Study rotation and is eager to learn and grow as a spiritual leader and evangelist.

Martina Grant

Minister Bio

Rev. Martina E. Grant, born to the late Herbert and Ann P. Ellis, is an Atlanta navtive and 30+ year member of Bethlehem Baptist Church (born, raised, and reared). Martina is the wife of Delante Grant and the mother of 3 beautiful daughters. Martina was ordained by Pastor Carl H. Moncrieff in November 2015 and is currently the director of the Jubilant and Triumphant Praise Dance Ministry. She is also an active member of many of the church choirs, Sunday School, and First Friday Young Adult Bible Study Ministry. Martina is a strong believer in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”, and believes that with God all things are possible. Martina is excited for what the Lord has in store for her ministry thru serving and building His kingdom.

Jarmon Gray

Minister Bio

Minister Jarmon E. Gray, a native of Atlanta, GA, accepted his call to ministry in 2007.  He is married to the former Miss Courtenay A. Williams, and they have two daughters. Minister Gray attended Frederick Douglass High School. Following his high school graduation, he continued his formal education at Southern Polytechnic State University, majoring in Technical Communications with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering. Minister Gray has garnered ministry training at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Panama City, FL. Under the leadership of Delwynn G. Williams, Sr. Pastor/Teacher, Minister Gray was licensed in 2010. For seven years, he served as Pastoral Armor Bearer.  As the Minister of Hospitality, he was instrumental in hosting numerous Pastors and Teachers of the Gospel as guest speakers at St. John. Minister Gray emphatically lives by the belief that “if you supply the faith, God will supply the power”!

Courtenay Gray

Minister Bio

Minister Courtenay Gray is an Atlanta native, and accepted her call to ministry in 2007. Minister Courtenay is a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School, and has completed degrees at Mercer University, and Georgia College &State University. Minister Courtenay was licensed in 2010 at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, in Panama City, FL, under the dynamic leadership of Delwynn G. Williams, Senior Pastor/Teacher. For seven years, Courtenay served in various capacities including Minister of Young Adults, Armor Bearer to First Lady, Minister Susan C. Williams, Missions, and praise dance. She was involved in Minister’s Wives and Widows of the Northwest Florida Progressive M&E District. From 2004 to 2006, she founded and worked with GAD Troupe, a dance outreach ministry for girls ages 5 to 13 in Bay County’s Macedonia and Pana Villa Housing areas.
